Michelle James

Michelle James, A.S. Early Childhood Education, is an experienced ChildLight Yoga Instructor and early childhood educator who has been working with preschool and elementary school aged children and families since 1991. In addition to teaching art and literacy, you can find Michelle sharing developmentally-appropriate, playful and engaging yoga and mindfulness education as enrichment programming at area preschools and elementary schools as well at ChildLight Yoga Studio where she teaches Peace Baby Yoga, Tots, Little Families, Kids’ Yoga and Family Yoga classes and leads the vacation camp and yoga party program.

    What to Bring/Wear: Please bring a baby blanket and a small toy. Dress yourself and baby comfortably for gentle movement.

    Tot Yoga is a supportive, fun-loving, and active yoga class. As tot’s mobility increases, classes offer tot-centric poses that encourage and support their physical explorations. Toddlers become more confident in their moving bodies as they practice yoga both in and out of class. During a Tot Yoga class, crawlers and walkers playfully practice yoga postures while they are standing, sitting up, walking, and jumping. Parents also get to do a little yoga, but no yoga experience is required.
