Yoga programs for children.
•What You're Saying About ChildLight Yoga•
"You're so fabulous with the kids - and everything I'd heard about you is 100% true. Your program is amazing, the kids love it, the moms love it, you're incredibly loving and caring toward the babies in your class, and you're simply the kind of cool lady every Mom wants to be friends with!!!" ~ Sarah H.

"Your yoga program for the younger girls was perfect - I know of one girl who 'goes to her garden' each night and no longer has night- mares. Thank you for making a difference in their lives." - Girl Scouts of Gundalow

"You have so much light to share with moms and young children." ~ Helen Garabedien, Founder, Itsy Bitsy Yoga®

"Thank you so much for such a fun class! It was great to watch Sarah
and Jessica learn and grow. That was the first class of any kind that
I enrolled them in and it was the perfect choice! Jessica has been such a shy child. She has really opened up around people since we began the classes and I know that you had a lot to do with that. Sarah has gained a lot of physical confidence that she didn't have before. She now tries almost all the things at the playground that she used to be leery of and runs around with all of her friends in the neighborhood. I give you and Yoga the credit! So, thank you for helping my children stretch in more than one way!" ~ C. Brassil

YOGA FOR KIDS?

YES! Children are natural yoginis - They stretch, bend, get excited, calm down and have an incredible knack for living each moment to its fullest! Yoga programs for kids encourage and expand upon these natural abilities through 'yoga play'. Kids develop an overall sense of strength, flexibility and well-being, while they get hold of their active lives and sometimes overactive minds.

Take a look at what child development experts, parents and teachers are seeing as the benefits of yoga for children:

  • Increased strength and flexibility
  • Improved concentration, focus and attention
  • Improved balance, coordination and general body awareness
  • Boosted confidence and self esteem
  • Improved sleeping patterns
  • Expanded creative expression and imagination
  • Aided digestion
  • Increased respect for self and others
  • Improved immune system
  • Environmental awareness and earth care
  • Overall sense of well-being

Yoga helps children cope with the conflicts and stress of a very hectic world. It helps them to see the beauty and light within themselves, boosting their self-confidence, allowing them to feel more comfortable with their bodies, and helping them get in touch with who they are inside. A child who learns yoga and relaxation will be developing skills that last a lifetime.
