For girls 8-12 years
Get EMPOWERED during this uplifting and inspiring retreat just for girls! Girls will develop physical and emotional strength and a strong sense of self through the practice of varied yoga and mindfulness-infused activities, discussions and art and journaling projects focused on self-reflection, self-care, body image and the influence of the media, leadership and more. In safe and nurturing space designed to cultivate connection and friendships, girls will be encouraged to think 'outside of the box' and find their authentic voice by learning about inspiring (and not so famous) females, what it means to be a good leader, and standing up for what's right with a clear and compassionate voice. These are only some of the valuable lessons to be taken away from these special retreats. No yoga experience necessary. However, giddiness, play, and lots of laughter will required!
Each retreat will focus on a different theme such as peace, truthfulness, or balance and moderation, representing yoga's universal principles of living, mindfully in the world. Students will be led in activities designed to provide practice and understanding of the theme of the day.
